Synonym and Antonym List

Below is a synonym and antonym list. Actually, it's a synonym list because I decided to put the antonyms on a separate page.

Why?

I don't think you should combine a synonym and antonym list. They should be separate. It aids in remembering them.

Some language purists would argue that there is no such thing as a true synonym. For our purposes, let’s say that there is.

The following synonym and antonym list are good, proficient-level words. They are an excellent place to improve your vocabulary building efforts.

It’s my goal to eventually include an automated vocabulary course.

Until that time, you’ll have to study synonyms on your own. The vocabulary course I speak of… will revolutionize the way people prepare for the Michigan Proficiency Exams.

It’s in the works, but as they say... one thing at a time! : -)

Until the course is ready, I recommend printing the separate synonym and antonym list. In that way you'll have them to review whenever you like.

Oh, one more thing about learning English vocabulary. It requires repetition.
